The Tigers rebounded from a poor defensive performance to play well in their home opener
against the St. Edward Eagles. Heights surrendered the first goal of the game but
Lee Allen would score on the power play to tie the game
at the first intermission. St. Ed's would once again take the lead, but this time it was
Marcus Dancy who evened things up, beating St. Ed's
goalie one-on-one. The Tigers had many powerplay chances in the second and third periods,
but their powerplay units had great difficulties getting the puck into the offensive
zone. While Heights failed to produce on the powerplay, St. Ed's scored the go-ahead goal
in the third period, and the Tigers fell to their second straight loss. Goaltender
Ben Gaglioti turned back 48 shots but was not rewarded
with a victory. |
