The Tigers lost another league game by a narrow margin with a 4-2 defeat at the hands of
the Padua Bruins. Heights played well in the first and second periods, but the game
slipped away in the third. Andrew West scored his third
goal of the season to give the Tigers a first period lead and Padua scored a powerplay
goal in the second period to tie things up. In the third period, Heights often had
difficulties clearing the puck from the defensive zone which allowed Padua to maintain
offensive pressure and create scoring chances. Joe Ross
would collect his first goal of the year for the Tigers, but Padua would score three
times, enough for the win. Matt Crowell made an
outstanding effort in net with 44 saves but still took the loss. |
