The Tigers dropped their second consecutive league game by a 2-1 score with an overtime
loss against University School. Each team registered their only regulation goal in the
first period. US took an early lead before Kyle Barden
tied the game with his third goal of the season. Throughout the second and third periods,
Heights struggled to produce offensively while US got chance after chance to take the
lead. The only reason this game reached overtime was the incredible play of Tiger
goaltender Ben Gaglioti. Heights spent most of the
third period killing penalties but Gaglioti preserved the tie with a handful of
jaw-dropping saves. In overtime, the Tigers once again found themselves shorthanded,
but Gaglioti continued to make huge saves. Finally, with just over one minute remaining
in overtime, US knocked in the game-winner. Ben Gaglioti finished with 47 saves and an
undeserved loss.
