The Tigers suffered their first loss in a league game by falling 9-4 to Hudson. Heights
played a great second period, but sandwiched that performance between two miserable
periods. Hudson jumped out to a 4-0 lead after one period, but the Tigers made it a
game again by dominating the second period. Dan Crowell,
Nate Hall and Jeff Houser
each scored in the second as Heights kept the puck in the offensive zone for most of
the period and outshot the Explorers 15-3. The Tigers entered the third period trailing
by just one goal, but rather than building on the momentum of the second period, they
surrendered two Hudson goals in the opening minute. The Explorers then added three more.
Chris Matthews scored the final goal for Heights,
his third of the season.
