The Tigers dropped their third straight game with a 5-2 loss to Mentor. Despite a
better showing than their previous two matches, Heights couldn't make the most of
their opportunities. The Tigers had at least half a dozen two-on-one breaks, but
didn't score on any of them. Both Heights goals were picked up by
Jeff Houser who now has nine for the year. His
second goal cut the Mentor lead to 3-2 early in the third period, but the Tigers
missed a number of chances to tie. Mentor added two more goals in the final five
minutes. Peter Eckendorf stopped 21 shots in his
third start of the season.
