Heights returned from Columbus to play their fifth match in four days, a rescheduled
game against Western Reserve. The game was originally planned for 1/18 in Kent, but
scheduling difficulties moved the game to Cleveland Heights. The Tigers lost 4-3 despite
the bonus of home-ice advantage. They couldn't finish scoring chances, and they made
enough defensive mistakes to lose despite outshooting the Pioneers 33-17.
Jeff Houser scored his 22nd goal of the season, and
Ben Winger kept pace with his 21st.
Jason Kelce added the final goal in the final minute,
deflecting John Sharpe's shot on a Heights powerplay.
