Heights lost their final game in the Bowling Green Thanksgiving Tournament thanks to
a pair of controversial goals by the Findlay Trojans. Findlay's tying goal with 20
seconds remaining in the third period stood despite a Trojan's presence in the crease,
interfering with Tiger goalie Nick Schmidt. In
overtime, Findlay once again received the benefit of the doubtful call. The Heights
net was knocked out of position, but the referee allowed play to continue regardless,
and Findlay scored the winning goal. Prior to Findlay's disputed goals,
Nate Hall had put Heights in the lead with two
tallies in a one-minute span of the third period.
Jeff Houser got the Tigers on the scoreboard early
in period two. Sophomore Jon Hall, brother of Nate,
followed with his first career goal. Heights outshot the Trojans in every period and
38-17 total.
