Heights met the Strongsville Mustangs on the third day of the Heights Holiday
Tournament. The Tigers got off to a less-than-spectacular start. Strongsville
scored two goals in the opening minute while Heights only took two shots in the
entire first period. Luckily, one of those shots was a powerplay goal by
Ben Winger and the Tigers escaped the period
trailing only 3-1. The second period was an improvement for Heights as they
outshot the Mustangs and inched slightly closer.
Jason Kelce's first career goal made it 3-2.
The Tigers now had the momentum going into the third period. Heights started the
period with a two-man advantage and an excellent shot at tying the game. Instead,
the Tigers quickly surrendered a shorthanded goal and never came back.
