Heights lost again at the Thornton Tournament, falling 6-2 to Gilmour. The Tigers
couldn't do much of anything offensively, taking only 16 shots on goal compared to
Gilmour's 41. Peter Eckendorf stopped 35 of those
Gilmour shots and kept the game from becoming a blowout. Both of Heights' goals came
on the powerplay. Ben Winger scored off a pass from
Jeff Houser on a 2-on-1 in the second period. In the
third, Evan Plunkett fired home his first career goal
with a shot from the point that found its way through a screen.
