The Tigers finally found a few goals, but still came up short on the final day of the
Thornton Tournament. After totaling a mere two goals in the last three games, Heights
tallied three against Trinity. Freshman Paris Murray
picked up his team-leading seventh goal in the first period.
Ethan Farris finished off a well-executed 3-on-2 in
the second. Dan Crowell made it a 3-3 game five
minutes into the third. Trinity broke the tie three minutes later and the Tigers could
not respond, though a last-second shot from the point by
Evan Plunkett nearly found the net. The Trojans outshot
Heights 38-22, but 34 saves by John Mates kept things
close. Each team recorded two powerplay goals.
