The Tigers pulled out a nail-biting 4-3 victory over NDCL in the Heights Holiday
Tournament. Heights was dominant at times in the offensive zone, finishing with a 38-9
advantage in shots, but the Tigers only managed two goals through two periods.
Meanwhile, NDCL took advantage of the breaks and the bounces to lead 3-2 midway through
the third. With just minutes left to play, Heights' co-captains
Josh Janor and
Erik Shoger came through in the clutch. Janor picked
up a shorthanded goal, his second of the game, to tie the score with 3:08 remaining. A
minute and a half later, Shoger buried a wrist shot from the high slot to win the game.
All four of the Tigers' goals resulted from face-off wins in the offensive zone.
Dan Holmes recorded the team's first, a powerplay goal
off a pass from Shoger.
