Heights' first action of 2005 ended with a narrow 2-1 loss to Gilmour. Both teams
struggled on offense throughout the night. Jason Kelce
picked up the lone Tiger goal on a second period breakaway, tying the game at one.
Gilmour recaptured the lead in the third when a turnover and an unguarded Lancer in
the slot led to an easy goal. Heights would get chances to tie the game during a
two-man advantage and later with a sixth attacker, but it was not to be. Goaltender
John Mates stopped 19 shots in his second appearance
of the season.
