On day three of the Heights Holiday Tournament, the Tigers rolled over Midview 8-2.
Heights controlled the action from the beginning, but the game wasn't always pretty.
The teams combined for 25 penalties, which led to 7 powerplay goals.
Jason Kelce and
Paris Murray each scored twice in the first period.
The Tigers expanded the lead to 8-0 before Midview netted back-to-back powerplay goals
in the game's final two minutes. Dan Crowell and
Ethan Farris each recorded their fourth goal of the
season, while two Tigers broke through for their first career goals. Freshman
Sam Lauritzen scored on a wrist shot from the high
slot, then junior Jesse Johnson grabbed the puck at
a faceoff and drove to the net to bury his first.
John Mates saw his first action of the year in net,
making 8 saves in the win.
