The Tigers topped Bay for the second time in three days and came away with the title
of the Heights Holiday Tournament. The action was very close until late in the second
period, when Ethan Farris swung the momentum squarely
in the Tigers' favor. He had scored earlier to give Heights a 3-1 lead, but a powerplay
goal moved the Rockets back within one. Farris responded at the ensuing faceoff, taking
the puck straight to the net for his second goal. Thirty seconds later, he struck again
with a breakaway goal completing his first hat trick. Bay didn't threaten much after that,
and a solid third period sealed the Tigers' win. The team's first two goals were recorded
by Dan Crowell, and
Jason Kelce added another in the third, giving him
seven in the four-game tournament. Daley Baker stopped
18 shots in his fifth win of the year. Paris Murray
had two assists and finished the tournament with 11 points, enough to capture the MVP.
