The season-long offensive woes continued as Heights opened the Jr. Lumberjacks MLK
Tournament against Dublin Jerome. The Tigers went scoreless for the sixth time this year
as the offense was credited with just 8 shots on goal. Heights played a little better
defensively than they had in the previous two games, but a few mistakes and penalties were
costly. A turnover at the blueline in the defensive zone led to an easy powerplay goal for
the Celtics in the first period. The rest of the scoring occurred in a penalty-filled
five-minute span of the second. Jerome recorded a powerplay goal, then scored again a few
seconds after a two-man advantage ran out, then added another while skating 4-on-4.
Liam Robinson stopped 28 of 32 shots but ended up with
his fifth loss in net. In those five games, the Tigers have scored a grand total of seven
goals.
