The Tigers squared off against Mayfield for the second time this season, and once again
the two teams battled to a draw. Sam Lauritzen and
Olof Nilsson each scored powerplay goals in the second
period to give Heights a 2-1 lead. In the third,
Jordan Shoger found
Chris Zirm open on the back door to make it 3-1. But
Mayfield came back with a pair, eventually tying the score in the final minutes with a
sixth attacker on the ice. The match proceeded to overtime, but was cut short after only
five and a half minutes by a Mayfield injury. Daley Baker
stopped 18 shots in the third period alone, and finished a great performance with 39 saves. |
