Inconsistent effort sent Heights to a loss on the final day of the Thornton Tournament.
A bad first period put the Tigers in the hole as Hudson jumped to a 3-0 lead.
Zack Murray salvaged the period with an unassisted goal
in the final minute. Heights started looking better in the second period, as
Jordan Shoger made it 3-2 with a goal on the first shift.
Hudson expanded the lead to 4-2, but the Tigers bounced right back in the third. Jordan
Shoger continued to lead the attack with two more goals for his first career hat trick.
The game was tied at four and Heights had the momentum early in the period, until the
Explorers took advantage of a penalty. Their powerplay goal broke the tie, and things went
downhill from there. Hudson scored two more to put the game away at 7-4. |
