Heights rallied twice but came up short against Parma, losing 6-4. The Tigers led 1-0 in
the first as Chris Zirm scored on a 2-on-1 with
Sam Brown, but three consecutive Parma goals in the
second period put Heights behind the eight ball. The Tigers regrouped late in the period
when Jordan Shoger scored his seventh goal of the season,
and freshman Tyler Rudy followed with the first of his
career. The game wasn't tied for long. A bad bounce in front of the Heights net put Parma
back in front 4-3 just seconds before intermission. The Redmen scored another in the third
and the Tigers again tried to climb out from a two-goal deficit. After Heights failed to
convert on a two-man advantage, Tyler Rudy found the net once more with a minute to play,
but that's where the rally ended. Parma added an empty-netter as time expired. Powerplays
proved to be a big difference between the teams, with Parma scoring on both of their
opportunities while the Tigers went 0-for-4. |
