The Tigers won their opener in the Heights Holiday Tournament, though it required a
shootout tiebreaker against Benedictine. Heights led early thanks to
Jordan Shoger's two first period goals, but a poor
second period evened things up. Bendictine dominated the middle period and tied the game
at two. After a scoreless third period, the teams had to settle matters with a shootout.
Chris Zirm and
Trevor Plunkett both converted their opportunities, but
the tiebreaker was still even after each team had gone through nine shooters. Jordan Shoger
finally ended it, scoring to give Heights the win in round ten.
Liam Robinson stopped 36 shots in regulation, then calmly
turned aside 8 of 10 in the shootout. |
