The Tigers went to overtime for the second consecutive game, this time coming out on top in a 4-3 win against Aurora. Heights had largely controlled the third period, highlighted by the first career goal for freshman Ben Urbas which put the Tigers in front of the Greenmen 3-1. But things changed quickly when a couple of defensive-zone mistakes led to a pair of Aurora goals in the last five minutes. Heights regained the momentum in overtime, keeping the puck in Aurora's zone the whole time. Less than 90 seconds in, Jordan Shoger's shot from the point was deflected by Tyler Rudy for the game-winner. Shoger had already accounted for the Tigers' first two goals, scoring in both the first and second periods. Liam Robinson got his seventh win of the year, stopping 12 shots. |
