The Tigers made their first road trip, traveling to Elyria for a match with the Midview Middies. Heights fell behind 1-0 in a lackluster first period, but the teams played very evenly the rest of the way. Tyler Rudy tied it up on a second period powerplay, but the Tigers couldn't put the puck away after that, missing the net on a couple of crucial opportunities. Midview took better advantage of their chances, scoring off a favorable carom in the second period and a rebound in the third. With a late powerplay, Heights pulled the goalie for a sixth attacker and Midview found the empty net to make it a 4-1 final score. Aidan Hall stopped 21 of 24 shots in the loss. |
