The Tigers scratched out another close win in divisional play, beating NDCL 3-2 in overtime. Aleksi Kuuri returned from injury and got Heights on the board first, while Aidan Hall had a huge first period in net, stopping 13 shots. The Lions did manage to tie it in the final minute of the period, but Ian Kraus moved the Tigers back in front early in the second, scoring just seven seconds from the opening face-off. The teams played evenly for the rest of regulation, and a third period powerplay goal by NDCL forced overtime. The Tigers went on the attack in extra time, keeping the pressure on in the offensive zone, until Ben Urbas knocked in a loose puck two and a half minutes in. Aidan Hall didn't need to make a save in overtime, but he made many great stops in regulation, finishing with 25 saves in his fourth win. |
