The Tigers won their fifth straight, grinding out a 2-1 victory over Notre Dame Cathedral Latin. The Lions had the edge in the first period, getting some good scoring chances, but Aidan Hall stopped 13 shots and held them to one goal. Heights answered two minutes after NDCL took the lead, when Sam Brown scored on a shot from the point. The Tigers came out much stronger in the second period, forechecking hard and keeping the puck in the offensive zone. Their efforts led to the eighth goal of the year from defenseman Aleksi Vihanto, making it 2-1. Both teams battled in the third period and it came down to the final seconds, but Heights held on against a sixth attacker. Aidan Hall stopped 22 of 23 shots in win number 12. |
