Heights won another nail-biter, rallying in the third period for a 2-1 victory over CVCA. For the second game in a row, the Tigers fell behind early and battled back for the win. The Royals took the lead in a very even first period, but Heights just got stronger as play went on. After a good second period, the Tigers poured it on in the third. They kept constant pressure in the offensive zone, outshot CVCA 15-4, and finally tied the score when Ian Kraus knocked in a rebound with under five minutes to play. Sam Brown got the winner a minute later, gaining control in the defensive zone and taking it coast-to-coast for his thirteenth goal of the year. CVCA made it a fight to the finish with a couple of late scoring chances, but Aidan Hall closed the door, making 4 of his 18 saves in the final minutes. |
