The Tigers lost a close one against rival Mayfield, falling 2-1 in the second game of the NDCL Invitational. Heights looked great in the first period, but missed the chance to jump in front early. Mayfield had a slow start and the Tigers took 18 shots in the opening period, but they couldn't put one away. Mayfield went ahead with a powerplay goal before intermission. The game was evenly played after the first, and neither team could score at even strength. Heights tied it with a powerplay goal from Ben Urbas late in the second. Mayfield took the lead for good during a 4-on-3 powerplay in the third. Aidan Hall played well in the loss, stopping 26 of 28 shots. |
