The Tigers finished winless in the Heights Holiday Tournament, falling to Benedictine 3-2. Lack of discipline proved costly, as the Tigers took 8 penalties, and Benedictine scored all three goals on powerplays. The Bengals scored twice in the first period, then Ben Urbas answered for Heights in the second, making it 2-1. After many scoring chances in the third period, the Tigers finally tied it when Urbas scored again with 5:30 remaining. Heights followed that by taking four straight penalties, leaving them shorthanded for almost the entire final five minutes of the game. Benedictine scored the winner on a powerplay with 20 seconds left on the clock. Aidan Hall stopped 29 of 32 in the loss. |
