The Tigers faced the CVCA Royals for the third time this season, but this meeting took place in the semi-finals of the Baron Cup. After the past two contests were high-scoring games, no one expected a goaltending duel, but Heights prevailed 2-1. Aidan Hall was particularly sharp, making 25 saves and rejecting a handful of golden opportunities. CVCA's only goal came in the opening minute of the second period, but Ian Kraus buried a rebound later in the period and it was tied entering the third. It remained 1-1 until the final minutes, when Ben Urbas got loose and rifled a wrist shot to put the Tigers in front. He leads the team with 37 goals. Heights now advances to the Baron Cup final against Midview. |
