The Tigers hung on for a wild win against division rival CVCA. Each team scored twice in the first with Heights' goals coming from Trey Hopkins and Tyler Rudy. The Tigers jumped in front in the second period when Ian Kraus scored on a powerplay and Tyler Rudy got his second of the game. Early in the third period, the Royals closed the gap to 4-3 but Trey Hopkins answered back with his second goal of the night. Ben Urbas made it 6-3 with a goal for the highlight reels, batting the CVCA goaltender's clearing pass out of mid-air into an open net. That proved to be the winner when the Royals scored back-to-back goals in the final four minutes. Aidan Hall finished with 14 saves. |
