Heights battled to a 4-4 tie against defending Turkey Bowl champion Medina. The Tigers led on multiple occasions, but they couldn't shut down the speedy Bees. Tyler Rudy and Trey Hopkins each scored in the first period, putting Heights in front 2-0 at intermission. Medina came back to control the second period and tie it 2-2. Trey Hopkins scored again in the third period, then Ian Kraus buried a shorthanded goal and the Tigers led 4-2 with ten minutes to play. But Medina responded again, scoring twice in the final three minutes, and Heights settled for a tie. Aidan Hall was tested frequently between the pipes, where he came away with 30 saves. |
