Heights went to a shootout to upend Chagrin Falls on the outdoor ice rink at Progressive Field. In their first game of the Cleveland Indians Snow Days high school hockey tournament, Heights nearly had the win in regulation, but Chagrin scored a powerplay goal in the final four minutes to tie it. Heights initially took the lead when freshman Dominic DiTirro scored his first career goal in the opening period. Chagrin tied it at 1-1 in the second, but Ben Urbas put Heights back in front with a goal in the third. After Chagrin tied it late, the game went to a 3-person shootout, where Tyler Rudy and Ben Urbas each scored to bring home the win. Aidan Hall earned the victory with 29 saves in regulation, plus two stops in the shootout. |
