Heights went down to the wire but came up short in a 3-2 loss to Solon. With a sixth attacker on the ice in the final minute, the Tigers nearly tied it up, but Solon's goaltender covered the puck right on the goal line. German import Constantin Blaschke started the scoring in the first period with his first North American goal. Solon did all of their damage in the second period, scoring three times and putting Heights on the ropes. The Tigers responded to finish the period strong, and make it close in the third. Trey Hopkins added the final goal, roofing a wrist shot from the left circle. Goaltender Aidan Hall stopped 32 of 35 shots. |
