12/27/97 Padua 2 - Cleveland Heights 1
The Tigers opened the Cleveland Heights Holiday Tournament with a tough 2-1 loss
to the Padua Bruins. Padua controlled play most of the game but a stellar 35 save
performance by Andrew Markus kept them at bay.
The only goals Markus allowed came in the second period on a Padua two-man advantage.
Defenseman Doug Turner finally got Heights on the
board with a powerplay goal in the third period. However, the Tigers couldn't get the
game-tying goal on a flurry of shots in the final seconds of the game.
