1/17/98 Rocky River 6 - Cleveland Heights 0
Heights played division rival Rocky River for the second time in three games but the
Tigers couldn't repeat their strong performance from the first meeting. An injury to
starting goalie Andrew Markus put
Matt Crowell in net for just his second start of
the season. Crowell kept Heights in the game through two periods allowing only two goals
in the second period after a scoreless first. However, the Tigers' offense could provide
no support, failing to finish their good scoring chances. After the Tigers lost two more
players to injury, the depleted Heights bench surrendered four third period goals.
Crowell finished with 24 saves.
