1/31/98   Cleveland Heights 5 - North Olmsted 4 (OT)

Heights staved off embarrassment and avenged a previous defeat to North Olmsted with a thrilling comeback victory on "Parents/Senior Appreciation Night." After two periods, the score stood at 2-2, with Eddie Babcox and Jeff Hindulak recording the Tigers' goals. It would be North Olmsted who broke the tie in the third period with two goals before Heights rallied to get back in the game. With the Tigers down 4-2 and less than five minutes to play, Babcox tallied his second goal of the game. In the final minute of the third period, with Heights on a powerplay and their goalie pulled, an Eric Aber shot from the point sneaked through a screen and slipped past the North Olmsted goaltender to tie the game. That goal sent the game into an overtime period which the Tigers would dominate. Four minutes into overtime, Shannon Barden caught North Olmsted in a line change and rushed the length of the ice to bury his fourth goal of the season, and complete the comeback. All three of Heights' graduating seniors performed well in their final career home game. Eddie Babcox scored two goals, both assisted by Sean Collins, while Andrew Markus stopped 21 shots in the win.
