2/6/98   Cleveland Heights 6 - Trinity 1

With the regular season drawing to a close, Heights hammered the winless Trinity Trojans keeping the Tigers' hopes of winning the Red South Division alive. The game didn't get off to the best start for Heights, as the Tigers surrendered one of their patented first-minute goals, however, Trinity would have very little to celebrate thereafter. Brian Clark tied the score at one apiece, converting a breakaway off a great pass from Sean Collins. Sean Clark soon put Heights ahead for good with a superb backhander from the slot. In the second period, the Tigers put the game away. Eddie Babcox scored the third goal by banking the puck in off of Trinity's goaltender from behind the net. Then, less than a minute later, Babcox tallied his second goal, shooting and scoring from the right faceoff circle. Later, Doug Turner carried the puck coast-to-coast, scoring to give the Tigers a 5-1 lead after two periods. Brendon Benner recorded his first goal of the year in the third period to make the final score 6-1. Andrew Markus shut Trinity out for the final 44½ minutes, finishing with 29 saves.
