12/13/97 Padua 7 - Cleveland Heights 4
Heights hung in for two periods against the Padua Bruins but eventually lost 7-4. Both
teams played well in a scorless first period but it was Heights who jumped out to a 1-0
lead in the second. Jeff Hindulak intercepted a
pass in the defensive zone, brought the puck the length of the ice, and lofted a
backhander past Padua's goalie. The Bruins were quick to respond, however, as they
followed with four consecutive goals. Chuck Dancy
scored a powerplay goal to bring the Tigers within two and
Brian Clark buried a rebound to cut the lead to
one. Dancy's second powerplay goal of the game tied the score at four entering the third
period. Defensive mistakes led to three Padua goals in the third period, enough to put
the game out of reach. Andrew Markus stopped 24
shots in the loss.
