After a disappointing three game trip to Erie, Heights returned to league action by
hosting their new Red Division rivals, the Lake Catholic Cougars. The Cougars, who
moved from the Blue Division to the Red South Division before the start of this season,
were making their first trip to Cleveland Heights. The Tigers played well through the
first two periods, eventually building a 3-1 lead on goals by
Eric Aber, Marcus
Dancy, and Shannon Barden. Defensive problems
nearly cost Heights the game in the third period as Lake Catholic rallied to tie the
score at three. Sean Clark finally regained the lead
for the Tigers when he banged in a rebound in the final minute of regulation.
Matt Crowell's 26 saves were just enough to get the win. |
