The Tigers made a quick exit from the 1999 Baron Cup, falling flat against St. Ignatius.
Heights was outplayed in the first period but, with only two goals allowed, they were
still in the game. The Tigers' hopes would not survive the second period. In what may
have been the worst period played by any team this season, Heights was outshot by an
astonishing 17-1 margin with St. Ignatius scoring six times. Down by eight goals after
two periods, the Tigers were able to hold St. Ignatius to one goal in the third period.
Heights' own offense, however, continued to struggle. Goaltenders
Matt Crowell and Ben
Gaglioti played as well as could be expected when considering that they were
bombarded with shots for nearly 45 minutes. |
