| The Tigers' season once again finished in disappointing fashion with a 6-4 loss to North
Olmsted in the first round of the State Tournament. Heights had the edge in offensive
chances throughout the contest, but the Tigers were unable to come up with crucial goals
when they needed them in the third period. Most of the game's scoring took place in the
first period when each team collected three goals. Eric
Aber scored his eighth and ninth goals of the year while
Milton Carter picked up his second. North Olmsted took
the lead in the second period before Pat Collins scored
to even things up. North Olmsted jumped out in front 5-4 early in the third while Heights,
despite firing nearly twenty shots, could not find the back of the net. |
