Heights met the Thomas Worthington Cardinals for the second time this season in game
one of the Thornton Park Tournament. The Cardinals topped the Tigers 5-1 one month
prior in Bowling Green. Led by Ben Gaglioti and
Carl Rose, Heights rebounded from the earlier defeat
with a 3-1 victory. Gaglioti's 31 saves allowed the Tigers to win despite being outshot
32-14. Rose provided the offensive punch with two goals in a three minute span of the
first period. Jeff Houser added an insurance goal in
the third period, dancing through the Worthington defense to give Heights a 3-0 lead.
Rose and Houser are currently tied for second on the team with four goals apiece,
trailing Nate Hall's five.
