The Tigers picked up their first win of the season, hanging on to beat Kent Roosevelt
4-3. Heights' chances didn't look great after a lethargic first period saw Kent jump
to a 2-1 lead. Nate Hall provided the offense with
his fifth goal of the year. For the second night in a row, the Tigers picked up the
pace in the second period. Jeff Houser tied the game
at the one minute mark and Chris Matthews put Heights
ahead with his second goal of the year. Less than a minute later, Houser scored again
to give the Tigers a 4-2 lead. Kent still had a chance to comeback, scoring once and
outshooting Heights 12-4 in the third period, but the Tigers held on for the win.
Ben Gaglioti finished with 24 saves and his first win
while Jeff Houser totaled two goals and one assist.
