The Tigers started the Heights Holiday Tournament with a 5-2 victory against Orange.
Jason Kelce powered the offense, lighting up the
scoreboard four times. He scored twice in the first, then completed his second career
hat trick just two minutes into the second period.
Dan Crowell put Heights ahead 4-0 before the Lions
clawed their way back. Orange closed the gap to 4-2 in the third, but Kelce finished
them off with a shorthanded goal. Daley Baker made
14 saves and helped the Tigers snap a 6-game losing streak. Orange, meanwhile, saw an
8-game winning streak come to a halt. Kelce's four tallies were the most by a Tiger
since Ben Winger buried four against Gilmour
in January 2003.
