Heights finished the Dublin tournament with an easy win over the Springfield Blue Devils
from Holland, OH. This game was a mismatch from the start, and it ended just one minute
into the third period when the Tigers made it 10-0. Defenseman
Brad Shoger scored two powerplay goals and added two
assists for a career-high four points. Dee Samuel scored
a pair to finish the tournament with six goals and extend his scoring streak to five games.
Paris Murray also scored twice, while
Alex Kraus,
Ethan Farris,
Brandon Saylor and
Jason Kelce each picked up one.
Daley Baker and
Chris Weiss split time in goal during the shutout.
Dublin Scioto forfeited the tournament's final game to Talawanda, so the Tigers and
Talawanda finished with identical records of 2-0-1, but Heights ended up in second place
based on tiebreakers.
