Heights fell to Gilmour in the second round of the State Tournament to bring the season
to a close. The Tigers really needed to limit their mistakes to have a chance to win this
game. Unfortunately, Heights took a number of unnecessary penalties and gave up too many
fast-break opportunities. Gilmour took advantage of most of these openings, including
three powerplay goals. To their credit, the Tigers played hard through the final whistle,
creating scoring chances in the third period, which resulted in
Jason Kelce's 21st goal. Kelce ended the year with at
least one point in each of his last 12 games. Daley Baker
finished with 30 saves on the night.
